Growers
Nuts go through a rigorous sorting process |
Among the many traits that
helped build the Growers brand, "high
quality" is the one attribute that is most dear
to the company. Every employee can sincerely profess to a concerted
company-wide effort to maintain the high quality standard Growers
has been known for.
Apart for developing great-tasting
products, all employees are made to understand that Growers
is a food company with the moral responsibility to produce and
sell products that would not, in anyway, be harmful to consumer
health. Everyone in the organization has a role to play in Quality
Assurance.

The
plant complies with the strictest health and sanitary codes |
The Purchasing Dept.
and QCG work closely together so that samples
of each incoming shipment of raw material has to pass R&D
laboratory tests and inspection before they are purchased
and processed.
 |
Every
production batch is randomly tested for toxins and other
harmful substances |
Apart from maintaining the
best production environment possible, the most critical part of
production is in the Sorting process. Processed nuts go through
several stages of sorting to make sure that only the best nuts
go in each pouch that you find in the market.
The company also has in-plant
facilities to determine aflatoxin levels as well as other contaminants
to the lowest minimum level possible.
Quality Assurance
does not stop at the production plant. As part of every employees
shared responsibility in Quality Assurance, sales people only
deliver the volume that is sufficient to cover the regular off-takes
of their customers' outlets until the next delivery. Inventories
of individual stores are monitored regularly through quality field
audits. This practice assures end-consumers that they get a relatively
fresh supply of Growers Nuts.
